Painted the bird feeding station. Refilled the feeders & put out another seed block to make both the birds & Mrs. Ranch happy.

Seasoned up 6 thick pork chops that I'll put on the smoker for supper the next few days.

Made a butter cake with chocolate icing for our dessert.

Harvested jalapenos to go with our supper & started harvesting potatoes.

Process the tomatoes from yesterday into spaghetti sauce.

Continued harvesting potatoes (75% done). This was a stellar year for them because of the cooler than normal spring & good rainfall. The extra 2 weeks in the ground helped produce a lot of big ones!!! I'm almost out of curing trays, so a number of them will be given to our neighbors.

Cleaned the back porch rattan furniture & the rug. When it's dry, I'll get the cushions down from the attic for Mrs. Ranch.

Cut the scallop potatoes from yesterday into meal-sized portions & then vacuum packed them.

Made a chocolate cake with white icing.

The back porch rug is now dry, so I moved my wood project into place & got the cushions for the rattan furniture down from the attic.

You right, it was hot in there. Glad we have a guest house for events like that!!! Dieter didn't like sleeping there... he said "This isn't my house" & was pacing most of the night. When Dieter is not happy, he makes sure that no one is happy.

Finished the presentation folders for my meeting with the county appraisal protest on Tuesday. Let the games begin. If they ask be to sign anything that binds me to their decision, I'll walk out & turn it over to our attorneys.

Rained pretty good here this morning.

Cleaned a bucket of potatoes as Mrs Ranch wants to make potato salad today. I'll process the remaining tomorrow, probably more scalloped potatoes that we can freeze.

Harvested a couple of tubs of tomatoes & prepped them for roasting.
