So call me obtuse but I'm new to this forum software and layout. What is the point of the trophies and points?
Likes are nothing more than a way to tell someone you like their post, be it for helpful, funny, or agreeing posts without having to make a reply to the thread. I guess similar to facebook if you're familiar with that.
The trophies are a feature built into the forum software which is really at it's most basic, a way to reward or acknowledge members for being an active member on the forum.

If this were a hunting forum I'd guess that you count the antler points on a trophy buck.
