The lettuce I planted in the early spring (Houston) is coming to an end. Some of it has already bolted and I pulled those plants because it was bitter. My question is, I ordered some "heat resistant" lettuce from Burpee's - both the seed tape and loose seeds in a packet. Does "heat resistant" mean they will grow despite the Gulf Coast's heat, without being bitter, or it's just a term I'm not understanding? I'm really missing my lettuce already.
