Made bread.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders. I'm thing about putting up 2 more as the number of birds is increasing.

Continued working on the valve replacement (irrigation system).

Picked up 50# of sunflower seeds for the redbirds & fueled up Mrs. Ranch's Jeep.

Made a lemon cake with lemon icing.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

It's finally raining!!! Coming down pretty good too (2.01" thus far)!!! We needed it.

The sky opened up.3.3 in hour and half. Pond came up 4-5 feet.Will finish power washing house and start garage today.

Cleaned & refilled the wasp traps.

Continued with the 'begining-of-the-month' chores.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Put out another seed block for the redbirds.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Seasoned up 4 thick pork chops that I'll smoke over post oak coals for supper tonight.

Finished shredding the back pastures & then started down in the creek bottom. Almost done shredding for the year...

Went to the grocery store this morning with the kids. Got a mesquite fire started in the pit, going to smoke some pork ribs today. Spent the last few evenings blading the fill dirt. I have a guy coming with a large compactor to compact it.

Picked up a load of cattle feed & did some shopping.

Raining pretty good right now (0.78" thus far).

Refilled the hummingbird feeders, they drank 2 gallons today.

Still drizzling here this morning...

Refilled the redbird feeders. 'Something' made off with the seed block I put out the other day, I found the cage for it 70' away (on the other side of the garden). I set the trap to catch whatever it is.

Installed 2 more ramdisks in our computers.

Made pizza dough & sauce for tonight's supper.

Refilled the redbird feeders. 'Something' made off with the seed block I put out the other day, I found the cage for it 70' away (on the other side of the garden). I set the trap to catch whatever it is.

Whew!!! We had our first cool front blow through last night, it's 61 degrees this morning, almost feels chilly!!!

Continued working on the irrigation system. The valve box is now back in place & I'll allow it to dry overnight before repressurizing it to check for leaks. I also still have about 20' to trench before I can make the final connection to the flowerbed in front of the greenhouse.

Drenched the fire ant mounds in the yard with Bifen IT.

Picking up pears from brother that will be vacuumed pack for pear jam to be made in December.

Pruned 2 of the oak trees in the front yard & did a general clean up of the flowerbeds. Then burned the 'trash' from this endeavor.

Rain missed me yesterday.Will water fruit trees today after weed eating around garden boxes.

Watered the grass around the main irrigation shutoff valve to soften the ground in preperation for replacement of that valve.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Cleaned out the burn barrel.

Seasoned up a sirloin steak that I'll smoke for supper. I'll also make some garlic bread to go with it.

Scored some more free rocks from the wife’s work. There’s quite a bit more there, I’ll make a few more loads this week. I have plans for a BBQ shack with a stone half-wall.
