Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets. Also finished watering the front yard/trees.
Made stuffed jalapenos.
Trimmed up some of the porch pots.
Received 0.07" of rain. We'll take every drop we can get.

I have been working on cleaning a fence line for a month off and on.Finished this morning.Nothing left in the garden but okra. Last measurable rain was August 2nd.My 95 year old mother lives in Lake Jackson,so may be making a trip [quickly] down there tomorrow.
Getting some rain from the outer bands of Hurricane Laura today (0.35"thus far). She is expected to make landfall around midnight tonight.

Well, with a big hurricane 100+ miles away, it was dead calm here all night long. Really dead calm, not a leaf moving. Supposed to be hot today, ready for a break from the heat,
Yep, that hurricane was way over hyped... Our friend & her kids left for home this morning after making a couple of calls to get the damage reports (empty beer cans were blown off the picnic table)...

Watered fruit trees.Went to feed store and bought rat poison to put in barn and garage.I-10 was backed up from Columbus to Hatterman Lane at 2pm.

Cut & glued 2 pieces of 1"X12" cedar board for a new base for the mailbox. Then sanded, shaped & primed it.

Bought a new bull this morning as it is time to bring in some fresh genetics.
Took the mailbox down & prepped it for repainting. The painting is now done, so I'll reinstall it tomorrow.
