Our family likes roasted green beans - the five of us (2 adults + 3 kids under 10) will finish off 2 pounds in one dinner. But we always roast fresh green beans.
Is there a way to preserve fresh green beans out of the garden to be roasted, or similar, in the off season?
Can I freeze them and thaw them to get close to the roasted texture and taste?
Can you suggest another way to cook them which is not putting mushy green beans on the plate? I hate mushy green beans.
