1 1/4 Sticks Butter
1 Cup flour
1 Cup oats
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup crushed pecans
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 Teaspoon allspice
3/4 Teaspoon baking powder
Prepare whatever fruit you’re going to use (I use Kieffer Pears).
Butter a 9 X 9 inch pan.
Mix together the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and the spices.
Press half the oat mixture into the prepared pan. Spread/arrange your fruit, then sprinkle the other half of the oat mixture over the top and pat lightly. Bake in a 350 degree oven until light brown (30 to 40 minutes).
Let cool completely and then cut into squares. Enjoy!!!
