Fixed a number of spoons that, over the years, had brief encounters with the garbage disposal per Mrs. Ranch's request.

Cleaned & painted the hydraulic ram for the automatic gate at the house & then greased the gate hinges.

Run around changing the clocks... Just another reason to hate the government's meddling.

Finished spraying RoundUp around the home site.

Refilled the redbird feeders & put out a small seed block.

Made a lemon cake with lemon frosting for our neighbors.

Fed the cattle.

Applied acid to the 'coal maker' in preparation for the ceramic paint.

Everyone knows that this past Saturday was the first day of gun season for deer.I no longer hunt but feed all year as the wife and i enjoy watching them. My neighbor to my south, hosted a skeet club out of Houston. They shot hundreds of rounds between 10 am -4pm Saturday. I felt for those in the area trying to hunt.A friend that hunts the ranch behind me sent a text wondering what the heck was going on.The guy that owns the property that hosted it, is a big time deer hunter. I don't understand his thinking.

Crap like this is the reason I no longer hunt. It was always something going on during deer season that ruined it. Grown men losing their minds over 4 legged animals for the most part.

We went to vote, mostly 14 proposed amendments to change the TX Constitution. Most of them are bad for us as they inevitably increase the tax burden on homeowners & small businesses to make up the difference in lost tax revenue. There are few that just create more 'bureaucracies', which we don't need or want.

Sanded & applied acid to the 2-wheeled hand cart that I use for the pear burner's propane tank. Then I sprayed the 1st coat of paint on it.

Burned out the plate steel griddle I had cut for the gas grill, then seasoned it. It's 15" X 22".

Fed the cattle.

Cut the grass ahead of the rain.

Sprayed the 1st coat of ceramic paint on the 'coal maker'.

Put out another roll of hay.

Took Mrs. Ranch's Jeep in for an oil/lube job & the yearly state inspection.

Did the weekly shopping. Started a drizzling rain just as I got home (0.07" thus far).

A chilly 56 degrees here... Mrs. Ranch is making chili & cornbread for supper tonight!!!

Cleaned & reversed the ceiling fans for the winter.

Flipped the 2-wheeler over & sprayed a coat of paint on it. Then cleaned the wheels/tires & aired them up. It's almost ready for reassembly.

It's 57 degrees & still raining here, 0.83" thus far.

Replaced the hose for the kitchen sink's swivel head, as it started leaking right at the swivel. Easy peasy.

Worked on my cookbook some.

Went to town to get a haircut. While I was out, I stopped & picked up a few incidentals at the grocery store.

Finished painting the propane tank for the pear burner. One down 3 to go...

Fed the cattle.

Continued working on my cookbook.

Cleaned & reverse the ceiling fan in the family room. Whilst I had the 12' ladder in room, I dusted all my mounts that are too high for Mrs. Ranch to reach.

Sprayed the 2nd coat of ceramic paint on the 'coal maker'.

Put the new license stick on Mrs. Ranch's Jeep & cleaned all her windows. Then cleaned the windows on my Jeep (Dietermobile).

Fed the cattle.

Finished weather stripping the well house.

Received the new well house filter housing/filter & prepped it for tomorrow's install (the old one is leaking slightly). This one is double the capacity & substantially larger, so I'll have to modify my angle iron pipe support.

Bought this car for Luke yesterday. It’s a 1950 Buick Roadmaster with a straight 8 engine. He’s 14 now and I’ve been asking him what kind of car/truck he may want to drive to school one day. Well, this is what he picked out. We’ve got 2 years to paint it and go through it all.
