Yep, it was a chilly 28 degrees this morning & hit 58 this afternoon, at least it stopped raining!!!.

Today was the day that the grandson wanted to work "Willie". Inoculations, ear tag, castration & his halter... Willie took it like a trooper (not like he had a choice). Life is good & it was a beautiful day here!!! Margarita time!!!

Mixed the soil & filled 6 flats of starter pots in preparation for planting the spring garden seeds.

Fed the cattle.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

Planted 30 jalapeno & 30 sweet green peppers.

Picked up another load of cattle feed.

Continued working on the Linux Mint upgrade & made a full back before I get to the problematic part...

Watered everything in the greenhouse & moved the flats I planted yesterday into it.

Refilled the bird feeders & put out seed & a suet block for them as we have some nasty cold weather coming next week.

Continued working on the Linux Mint upgrade & then made another backup.

Fed the cattle & sorted them as I have a bull that will be delivered this afternoon. I thought I had 2 sold, but he only had the money for 1...

Planted Italian basil in a planter in the greenhouse & then watered everything ahead of the cold front.

Plugged in the heat lamps for the well house.

Refilled the chlorine reservoir in the septic system.

Continued working on the Linux Mint upgrade & then made another backup.

It's 29 degrees with a near constant 13 mph north wind. Tuesday is supposed to be 18 degrees... We're already tired of winter.

Sliced a whole pork loin into chops & vacuum packed them.

Boned out a pork shoulder & made the sweet brine cure. Two weeks till we have some buckboard bacon!!!

Watered the starter pots in the greenhouse.

Woke up to 26 degrees & a light coating of the white stuff on the ground. The stock tanks are icing over as well. Tomorrow will be worse, they are predicting 17 degrees. Like us, Dieter is not happy about being cooped up...

Made another pot of navy bean soup per request. Mrs. Ranch is going to make more buttermilk biscuits too.

Made a buttermilk pie for out desserts.

Finished configuring the new Linux Mint. I'll be using it fulltime now to shake out any little things & to test it's functionality before pushing it out to the other computers.

Completed the end-of-year financials & got the stuff ready for tax time.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

Put out another roll of hay.

Made a birthday cake for the grandson, carrot with sour cream frosting. Took it down, along with his present, so it will all be there when he gets home from school.

Since it's 60 degrees & no winds, I finished painting the last 4 plant stands.
