Watered the garden.All five grand kids left,Who ever said that grand kids are suppose to make you feel young again never met mine. lol Ranch I found tomatillo plants at Lowes grocery in Weimar Friday.They had a pretty good selection of everything.

Nuthin'.
My kid's going to dig a hole or two tomorrow since he has no school or work. I want the trees in ASAP. Going to pick up a couple bags of composted manure and a bag of mulch.

On a serious note, I thought that stuff would be considered a foreign plant and the local extension service would get all bent if they knew, so I looked it up. I was surprised to learn that some of it is actually indigenous.
The stuff I planted is not invasive. It's called a 'clumping' type of bamboo. I never would have thought of planting the stuff....until the idiots next door moved in. Here's a pic of a semi-mature specimen. There's a nursery near our home that has specimens quite a bit bigger than this.

My uncle was growing a similar timber bamboo in south Florida without much trouble. Just the hurricanes would trim it back to ground level every few years.

Looking into automating some of my hydroponic project with an Arduino. I can get an Arduino Create app for this chromebook even.
The current setup is just going to be a timer to drive the pump (via relay or FET). I am still planning my larger outdoor hydroponic setup for the summer - dutch buckets for peppers and tomatoes outdoors. This will require level sense to trigger the pump output.

@wolffman This is the first I've played with Arduino. It's been about 15 years since I last banged out code so I think I have to make it back up the learning curve. Arduino, from what I have read, plays with something similar to C++ but slightly bastardized.

Made 2 loaves of bread, one Italian loaf for us & a pepperoni loaf for a neighbor.
Cut the Yucca in the back flowerbed way back to remove the winter kill & then burned the 'trash'.
Refilled the bird feeders & clean/refilled their watering station.

Was contacted today by the folks that make 'Jesse James' ammunition. They're wanting one of my ammo machines. We'll see what happens.
Harvested more asparagus & processed it for freezing/vacuum packing. I do believe we have enough to last us until next spring (21 one pound bags) so now it can just grow.
Continued weeding the garden & forming the rows.

Planted the Stella cherry today. Two down, one to go.
Watered the onions really well. They're just now getting over their nitrogen drunkenness that I put them through, haha. They actually look pretty good right now, should have a decent crop.
Did the weekly shopping.
Ordered 2 more flex-collars (fits the shock collar) & a big rubber toy for Dieter.

Mowed the yard down here on the coast. Trimmed all crepe myrtle. Kids are out for Spring Break. Glorious day to be alive.
