Continue watering the backyard & the garden.

Picked up another load of cattle feed & pickup thick sirloins at the butchers.

Received the billet cargo bed hinges for the Defender today, I'm going to install them tomorrow.

Watered all the trees, crape myrtles, pots & baskets.

Installed the rear bumper on the Defender. I didn't use the hardware that came with it (10mm bolts & rivnuts), I drilled larger holes through the frame & used 7/16" grade 8 bolts, nuts & washers instead. It is rock solid.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Installed the new cargo bed hinges & greased them. Whilst I had the grease gun out, I also did every zerk fitting I found on the suspension.

Grandson came to feed the cattle for us & to check out the new bumper & hinges on the Defender.

Refilled 1 hummingbird feeder. Most of them moved on a few days ago, although there are ~20 still here.

Started pruning the 'water sprouts' from around oak trees in backyard.

Watched the generator guy do the full maintanence & replace the battery in it. Good for another year!!!

Made buttermilk ranch dressing.

Harvested japs & stuffed them for a side dish for our suppers.

Cleaned & painted the trailer hitch for the Defender. The hitch extension was delivered today.

Finished pruning the 'water sprouts' from around an oak tree in backyard.

Replaced the batteries in all the garage door & gate openers.

Started a loaf of sourdough rye bread for tomorrow.

Pruned the Crape Myrtles as needed to clean them up.

Put the trailer hitch & extension on the Defender. Now I won't have any accessibility issues when I need it.

Started trimming up the trees in the front yard. Then picked up the 'trash' & put it in the burn barrel.

Our grandson came over to feed the cattle for us.

Cut the grass & then washed the garden tractor.

Made a peach cobbler for desserts.

Seasoned up a couple of chicken breasts that I'll put on the smoker for supper.

Sprayed RoundUp around the garage turnaround & the generator area.

Found a harvester ant mound by the house so I put 3 gallons of Bifen solution on it using a bucket that I drilled a hole in. I want it 'slow & deep'...

Went to town to pickup molasses tubs for the cattle.

Made 2 quarts of buttermilk ranch dressing for our grandson.

Killed 3 fireant mounds in the backyard.

Killed 4 fire ant mounds in the backyard & 3 harvester ant mounds in the front pastures.

Put the molasses tubs out for the cattle, then started shredding the middle pastures.

Cleaned the spot sprayer that I'll be replacing the pump on tomorrow.

Cleaned 5 hummingbird feeders for storage. I have 4 more to go.

Cleaned & filled two 7 gallon water containers to see if there are any leaks before I spend $ on replacing the O-rings & spigots.

Greetings from south Texas. You are so right Ranch, need rain bad. I‘ve been mowing nonstop. Mower cab has no AC so I begin at daylight until 11:30. I’ll be through Christmas and then will move back to my place. No Fall garden this year but will start preparing for the Spring.

Put the new pump & rubber hose on the 26 gallon spot sprayer. I'll ops check it tomorrow.
