Fed the cattle ahead of the predicted rain.

R&R the float valve assembly in the master bath's toilet.

Seasoned up a big pork shoulder (~9 lbs after boning it out) with my Mexican rub for tomorrow.

Rained in the late afternoon, we got 0.60" finally. Weimar (10 miles away) got 5+".

Made the Mexican pulled pork. Also made a batch of ranch rice to go with it. Mrs. Ranch is in charge of the rest of the fixins.
Part of everything will be delivered down the road as the SIL & grandson went to west Texas for the weekend.

Put the arm rests back on the Husky garden tractor's seat so it's ready to go again.

Started the 'beginning-of-the-month' chores.

Still raining here this morning (0.47" thus far).

The HVAC guy came to do the spring maintenance & cleaning of both systems.

Made the pot of pinto beans.

Grandson came to feed the cattle & to pay for his new scope (we watched the pride in his face as he counted it out). I told him to come back to the house when he was done feeding as I wanted to give him something to take home... The look on his face when he saw it made our day (he didn't know I had already bought it)!!! Now he just needs to finish his rifle so he can go hunting (I already have the parts)... Today was definitely worth waking up for!!!

Watered the stuff in the greenhouse, garden, asparagus, Crape Myrtles & the porch pots/hanging baskets.

Burned out the flowerbed in the back yard... we're thinking about planting blackberries there.

Fed the cattle.

I moved the Defender back to the barn as I will need the space for the new greenhouse that is in transit.

Put the upper together for the rifle (he's too busy to help apparently).

Refilled the redbird feeders & put out another seed block.

Refilled the wasp traps.

Cleaned/refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Now I'm just having a margarita & watching the progress of the UPS truck that is delivering our new greenhouse...

Watered the stuff in the greenhouse, garden, asparagus, Crape Myrtles, backyard trees & the porch pots/hanging baskets. It looks like another hot/windy day again here.

Started opening the 7 boxes that contain the new greenhouse. I finally found the instruction manuals!!!

Watered the stuff in the greenhouse, garden, asparagus, the big tree in the backyard & the porch pots/hanging baskets. Yet another hot/windy day here. We need rain badly...

Started rummaging through the greenhouse boxes to find the pieces needed for the front door wall. It's damn hot out there... but I have the pieces to do this!

Grandson came to feed the cattle with his dad, so we were finally able to deliver his rifle & fit it to him. He must be happy as we got a BIG smile!!! Five minutes later, we heard him firing it, LOL!!! I almost pity the coons & pigs this weekend!!!
