Cleaned the wasp traps.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay ahead of the rain.

Did the weekly shopping, mostly to get the fixings for a couple of batches of lasagna. Picked up the pork to grind for the Italian sausage & 4 sirloins for lean ground meat. I'll grind it in the next couple of days & then make the pasta dough.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Started some machining on a couple of my projects.

Love lasagna...... We are having breakfast for supper around here. Have about 20 dozen eggs in the fridge. We coat them with mineral oil . It gives them around a year of fridge storage......Our neighbors are pretty well supplied too.....

Separated the 'Coulotte' muscle (~1 pound each) from the 4 sirloin steaks & vacuum packed them for grilling in the future. Afterwards I ground the remaining meat for hamburgers (~ 12 pounds).

Ground the spices for the Italian sausage, mixed it with the pork & ground it (4.4 pounds).

Vacuum packed the ground meat from yesterday.

Took my X-Y vice apart to clean & oil it prior to milling a couple of my projects. Then remounted it on the big drill press.

I will have to try this mineral oil trick. It’s winter, but the birds are laying a bunch of eggs.

Made bread.

Finished pruning the crape myrtles.

Fed the cattle & put out a roll of hay.

Got a pot of pinto beans seasoned up & soaking for tomorrow.

Did some milling on one of my projects. Also researched precision triggers, I'm leaning towards a couple of Rise Armory 535

Got the pot of pinto beans going.

Seasoned up chicken fajitas meat that I'll grill for our supper tonight. Also did a couple of breasts for Dieter's snacks.

Picked up the trash from the crapes myrtles & cleaned the asparagus bed. Then burned it all.

Went to town to refill the propane tanks & top off the fuel tank in the truck. Also picked up the seed potatoes.

Refilled the redbird feeders & put out another suet block.

Picked up a load of cattle feed & did some minor shopping (mostly the components for my seed starting mix). There were a lot of idiots out there today, enough that I was glad to get home...

R&R air filter on garden tractor.

Fed cattle & put out hay ahead of the rain.

Finished milling one project (it came out darn good). I'll start milling the other tomorrow.

Drizzling here this morning (0.13").

Made bread.

Started installing parts in one of my projects... I had to order a few replacements as 2 parts launched into the netherworld & I was unable to recover them.

Mrs. Ranch said we needed to make more lasagna as we are almost out, so I made the pasta dough this morning. One of these l
lasagnas was made with both homemade sauce & sausage, the other was made using our sauce & home-ground sirloin.

Lasagna_012321.JPG

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

Sharpened the blades for the garden tractor. They'll be installed when I finish up the yearly maintenance next week.

Made bread.

Vacuum packed the lasagna into portion-sized servings.

Started cleaning & sharpening some of my garden tools, then treated them with orthophosphoric acid. I'll paint them later.

Bit the bullet and bought a new mower. Not a fan of the zero-turns, but no one really builds a heavy duty lawn tractor anymore for the price of this heavy duty zero turn. Olivia says red is her favorite color, so there’s that.
