Made a pot of pinto beans.

Finished researching the replacement greenhouse & pulled the trigger on a Grandio Elite 8x12. It has a green powder coated extruded aluminum frame, 10mm twin-wall UV protected poly-carbonate (verses 6mm) & built-in gutters. I also upgraded it to include an additional double door for the back wall so we'll have flow-through ventilation (verses louvered side windows). I'll have to modify the existing wood base but that's relatively cheap & easy to do.

Installed a 'remote battery post terminal' below the driver's seat on the Defender. This will allow me to charge or jump-start without taking everything out to access the battery compartment, which is a PIA. The manufacturers all recommend placing it inside a front wheel well... why would anyone want to install it there to purposely exposed their electrical system to water or mud is beyond me.

Culled the tomatoes & pepper plants in the greenhouse. Their growth is behind what I would normally expect them to be at this point...

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Formed a couple of rows in the garden & fertilized them.

The high today was 87 degees... now we're waiting on the arrival of the incoming cold front. It arrived at ~1745 hrs. UPDATE: It's now down to 60 degrees with a 16 MPH north wind... It's going to be kind of chilly tomorrow.

It's 46 degrees with a 14 mph NNW wind this morning. It made it up to 61 for the high this afternoon.

Made a lemon/poppy seed cake with lemon frosting for the granddaughter.

Septic guy came out to repair a shorted wire to the compressor & to do the quarterly inspection.

Low winds today, so I finished burning out the garden & the watered it for a couple of hours to ensure that there are no "hot spots".

Watered all the crape myrtles & all the pots/hanging baskets on the back porch.

Prepped & fertilized the row for the pole beans.

Picked up our prescriptions at the pharmacy.

Removed the asparagus bed spray heads for cleaning as a couple of them were clogged, then reinstall all of them.

Cleaned/refilled the bird's water trough.

Hit the package store & then the lumber store.

Made a 'bed divider' for the Defender & then painted it. This is to secure the spot spayer & battery in the back of the bed.

Watered the plants on the back porch & the stuff in the greenhouse.

Harvested asparagus to go with our supper.

Watered the garden, asparagus bed & the trees/lirope in the front yard.

Refilled the redbird feeders, then put out new seed & suet blocks.

Prepped/seasoned a pot of pinto beans for tomorrow.

Watered the garden & asparagus bed.

Went to town to pickup a sack of sunflower seeds & a few items at the grocery store.

Pulled thistle up in the yard... I need to spray.

Reinstalled Dieter's 'mudroom' in my Jeep.

I was planning to cut the grass but it looked like the battery was dead (I fully charged it a couple of days ago). I took it back to where I got it & Don tested it & pronouced it good. He did give me another one to try but 'The Husky' still refused to start, so I put my battery back in & called Western Auto to come & pick it up. It was running fine the last time I used it...

Watered the garden & asparagus again, as well as the stuff in the greenhouse.
