Harvested 24 spaghetti squash & prepped them for processing. It was a good year for them!!! Mrs. Ranch has the 1st load of them in the oven now & she'll vacuum pack them when they cool.
The flag holder at the guest house pulled out during the storm last night. Drilled it to accommodate much larger (#14) screws & then reinstalled it. I highly doubt that it will come down again, LOL!!!
Burned more trash.
Made a blueberry cobbler for dessert.
Prepped another basket & applied 2 base coats of paint on it for Mrs. Ranch's ongoing redecoration project.
Decided to modify the seed block forms I previously made to deepen them. The next seed blocks will be 2.25" thick so I will be adjusting the recipe accordingly. Then I made one to check it. I post the recipe in the DIY forum for anybody that's interested.
Seasoned up 4 big chicken breasts that I'll smoke for supper the next few days. Also made ranch rice as a side.
Did the weekly shopping. I continued stocking up on stuff. Mrs. Ranch said she is running out of places to put it all, so next time I'll buy storage tubs & she can stack them in the guest house.
Made another seed block. This one is for my lil' buddy down the road as he likes to watch wildlife. I ordered him a wire feeder to put it in yesterday.
Started spraying RM43 on the road & around the barn.
Well, this is all that's left of our 2 beautiful grapefruit trees that got killed by the freeze. One of them has some small re-growth coming on. The other is just plain dead, and I have a friend with an excavator coming out this week to remove it. I'm mighty pizzed off about this as they were some real specimens. I planted a new type of bamboo to fill in the void (nosey neighbor zone).
Our neighbor dropped off the target stand base that he made for me. I drilled a couple of holes to hold the 2X4 upright & then prepped it with OSPHO (phosphoric acid) for painting. When that dried, I sprayed 2 coats of primer on it.
