Rained more last night (1.28" thus far).

This morning, we both went to vote.

Did the weekly shopping & hit the package store.

Made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for our desserts.

Seasoned up a pot of pinto beans for tomorrow.

Now I'm enjoying a margarita & waiting for the election results to start.

A gentle rain here this morning (0.50" thus far).

Made a run into town for some odds & ends.

Cleaned the mower deck & tried to remove the spindles. I managed to remove one of the spindle nuts with the added leverage of a 3' breaker bar, then I had the bright idea to borrow the SIL's impact wrench & had the other 2 nuts off in minutes of arriving home, LOL!!! I did find that I need to order 2 new pulley as the splines on it were well worn (the 3rd one was still in good shape).

Went to town to pick up stuff for the garden tractor. Upon getting home, I installed the new deck spindles & pullies (I decide to replace all 3 of them). Then flipped the deck over to scrape/wire wheeled the underside, applied 2 coats of 'NoMow' & installed the new carbide edged blades.

Fed the cattle.

Cleaned & waxed the body/trim of the garden tractor. Then installed the new 'idler pulley' & drive belt (this is always a PIA). Also installed a new belt on the mower deck. It's ready for me to reattach the mower deck & ops check everything in the next couple of days.

Lubed the garage doors & the worm gears on the openers.

Picked up a load of cattle feed & then fed them when I got home.

Met with the owner of the HVAC company about 2 bids he submitted. We did our negotiations thing & we are both happy. Work will commence in a couple of weeks.

Made a pot of spicy pinto beans.

Made a double batch of buttermilk ranch dressing for Jason.

Made a molasses cake for our desserts.

Just got word that another of our close neighbors passed away. I've know him for a long time... another USAF veteran. He was 83.

Put out a roll of hay ahead of the rain.

The cold front arrived ~ 1300 hrs & we received 0.43" of rain thus far.

Took Dieter to the vet for his monthly shot & to get his nails cut.

Reinstalled the mower deck on the garden tractor. Also installed a new bushing on the steering column to eliminate the play in it. I'm done.

Cleaned the windows in the garage (both inside & out).

Ran to town to pick up a few items that are on sale & topped off my fuel tank.

Made vegetable/beef/barley soup from the remains of the sirloin roast.

Fed the cattle.

Ops check the garden tractor on the front yard, & I'm glad to say that it ran/cut like new!!!

Pulled my old generator out & started getting it ready for my SIL.

Cleaned my big cutting board (deer sized).

Cleaned & applied acid to the hand saws to remove the rust on them. I'll wipe them down with oil tomorrow.

Did the monthly maintenance on the computers.
