Got .2 from a shower yesterday afternoon. Will start trimming dead oak trees near the garage /barn. I lose at least two mature oaks every year.

My neighbor lost 2 oaks trees a few years ago. He managed to save one. I love mature oak trees ! I hate to hear that you are losing a few every year.

Do you know why?

Probably post oaks... they're short lived by nature. As the mature, they 'hollow out' & literally rot from the inside. And then there is the oak wilt disease too.

Made bread.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Fed the cattle.

Cut the grass ahead of the incoming tropical storm.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets (which I took down).

Making 'Pistacchio e Salsicca Pizza' for supper tonight using the fermented dough I made 2 days ago. Also picked some basil out of the garden for it.

Still raining here... We have 6.09" thus far today. We're catching plenty of water in the tanks!!!

Ordered 10 gallons of tank dye.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Gave Mrs. Ranch a pedicure for something to do.

I do believe that the rain is over. Total for the 3 days was 8.14" & we are thankful for every drop!!!

Rebaited & reset the trap after letting a feral cat out of it.

Put out another seed block for the redbirds.

Made bread.

Continued processing pears for pie filling. We got 8 - 2 pound containers in the freezer now & we'll vacuum pack them tomorrow.

Fed the cattle.

Seasoned up beef fajitas that I'll grill for supper.
