It’s a mess. They were all stacked up in covered barn. Now they are using heavy equipment to drag them out and unroll them in a field. They brought in turf irrigation equipment to help. Talk about a smelly mess.

Yep....smoke and smell from burning hay is bad.......Then add the smell of wetting it down doesn't help.....

Made bread.

Installed the new gate wheels & ordered 6 more.

Put out 3 rolls of hay for the cattle as it is suppose to be cold for the next week. They are forecasting 38/29 degrees for tomorrow & 49/28 on Friday...

It started raining pretty good ~ 1700 hrs. The wind is now out of the north & picking up (expected to be 20-30 MPH tonight).

Cold here (36 degrees), especially with the wind (29 degrees). Yesterday was 81... On the plus side, the garage door insulation I installed last year really has made a world of difference. I highly recommend this as a DIY project.

Dispatched the 4th possum in the last 10 days...

Made bread.

Did the weekly shopping... it's depressing...

Received the last 6 gate wheels, so I took them apart to greased them & then reassembled them. The are now ready to install when it warms up.

We had an unexpected visitor drop in for a free meal... another bald eagle, LOL!!! He/she grabbed the possum & took it across the tank from the house & is still just feasting away!!! It's only about 125 feet way from the back porch. It's aways cool to see them!!!

Still chilly here (56 degrees) but at least the sun is out.

Applied the finish paint to the other side of the 2 doors at the guest house. Tomorrow I'll stand them up against the wall & start the last 3.

Assist Mrs. Ranch in making her new lamp shade.

I stood the finished doors for the guesthouse up against the wall & installed the handles & new satin nickel hinges. Then started prepping the last 3 doors for priming.

Dressed 15 pounds of beef fajita meat & vacuum packed it.

Still a chilly 52 degrees & overcast here so it's a good day to work inside. Mrs. Ranch is in charge of feeding us so she's doing baked Ziti with Italian sausage & garlic bread for supper.

I finished prepping the last 3 doors & the door jambs in the guesthouse for priming.

Applied the first coat of the finish paint to the remaining doors & jambs in the guesthouse. Mrs. Ranch said it's amazing how yellow the original paint had become...

Made bread.

Made 2 buttermilk pies, 1 for us & the other for our neighbors.

Fill the starter pots for the peppers. Then planted the bell peppers & the jalapeno seeds.

Put out 3 rolls of hay for the cattle.

Applied the final coat of the finish paint to the remaining doors & jambs in the guesthouse. When the paint was dry, I put the hardware back on. Next up is the ceilings.

Fertilized the asparagus bed as it is forecast to rain 2+ inches tomorrow.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

As forecasted, its raining here, 3.31" thus far.

Ordered the caladiums for the pots on the back porch.

Received the parts for the yearly maintenance of the garden tractor. Being lazy today, I only replaced the wheels on the mower deck. I'll do the rest of it when I'm more in the mood...

Went & got a haircut & then did the weekly shopping.

Planted oregano seed. I have never grown it before but these are the smallest seeds I have ever seen. These make broccoli seeds look huge!!!

Replaced the wiper blades on Mrs. Ranch's Jeep.

Start the 'begining-of-the-month' chores.

Watered everything in the greenhouse ahead of the incoming cold front (I don't plan on opening it for a few days). Nighttime lows are suppose to be in the lower 20s & it's currently a comfortable 75 degrees.

Took the flags down due to forecasted winds (2 days of 20+MPH)

Harvested more broccoli & bunch of green onions.

Looking at mid 20's here. Have all plants moved into J's studio....
