Went to see a surgeon this morning, as I have another hernia... I'm scheduled get cut again in early April.

Picked up another load of cattle feed.

Fed cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

A friend came with his big trencher so I can finally finish the french drain for the irrigation system. The trenches total 45' long X 8" wide X 36" deep. I started lining the trenches with heavy ground cloth, but I was 15' short so I'm work-stop until my order arrives.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Burned the trash.

Put mosquito dunks in the rain tubs.

Refilled the birdfeeder in the front yard & put our another suet block.

Made a lemon cake with lemon frosting for the young lady down the road.

Culled the peppers, leaving the strongest plants. Then watered all the flats.

Went to town to get my haircut & to pickup mineral blocks for the cattle (they had the sulphur blocks but no trace mineral blocks). More 'supply chain' BS... UPDATE: Apparently feed stores are having a difficult time getting them as most are out of stock. We did find a place that had them so I'll make a special 60 mile trip tomorrow & get 6 or 8 of them.

Made pizza dough & sauce for tonight's supper.

Continued cleaning the garden.

Made a double batch of fried chicken seasoning as we were out.

Formed/fertilized the 2 potato rows.

Treated all the gopher mounds that sprang up.

Watered the flats in the greenhouse.

Got another load of pea gravel delivered. It will be used for my 'french drain' project & the rest will be spread on the road.

Seasoned up a thick sirloin that I'll put on the smoker for supper.

Fed cattle.

Raked out the gopher mounds so I can see if they're still digging.

Divided the seed potatoes & dusted with sulphur so they can scab over. I hope to plant them tomorrow.

Spread the pea gravel on the roads. Another 5 or 6 loads & the roads will be done.

Made bread.

Made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for our dessert.

Planted 2 rows of 'Red Pontiac' potatoes. I'm 6 days late getting them in the ground...

Culled both varieties of tomatoes, leaving the strongest to grow on & then trimmed up the pepper plants.

Watered the potatoes & the flats in the green house.

Fixed the 'french drain' pipe (cracked/broken end caps) so it's ready to go.

Cut the grass.

Fed the cattle.

Continue cleaning the garden.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

Harvested more asparagus & all the spinach, which we cleaned & processed.

Started applying 'ospho' acid to the pipe at the front entryway in preparation to painting.

Made bread.

Saw the first 2 wasps of '23... 1 did not survive. Needless to say, I filled the wasp traps & hung them up.
