Went to town to get a haircut. Also stopped to pickup the seed potatoes, but they haven't arrived yet...

Took delivery of another 53 sections (1696') of drill pipe. The welders got all the remaining new posts set in concrete.

Did the weekly shopping.

Picked up another ton of cattle feed. The seed potatoes were in so I got them as well (they are now 'chitting' over in the guesthouse).

Fed the cattle.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

The welders finished the pipe, hung all the bull panels & are now in the process of welding them in place. They should be finished tomorrow after rehanging the 4 coral gates.

Took the day off.

The welders are finished with the corrals. They almost finished the entry way (which was an 'add-on' project), but they were 1 panel short, so they'll finish up on Monday & then clean up the areas. These guys never took breaks & humped the entire time they were here. I'm impressed with their work & ethics.

Made bread.

Seasoned up a standing rib roast with pepper & rosemary for supper. Mrs. Ranch will do the roasted vegetables over at the guesthouse.

Fed cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Surprise!!! The welders showed up with the last panel & finished the front entry. Then they cleaned up their work areas & we had the 'grand tour', LOL!!! These guys were worth every penny!!!

Fix a potted plant that blew over when the last front passed.

Treated the fire ant mounds in the yard.

Ordered the caladiums for the back porch pots. There were no 'jumbo' bulbs of any variety available this year.

Fertilized & mulched the last 5 tree/lirope beds.

Watered everything in the greenhouse.

Rehung the flag at the guest house entry.

Replace all the UV cable ties that secure the irrigation risers to their supports in the garden.

Harvested the 1st of this year's asparagus. As there was just a handful, we'll cut them up & toss it all into the vegetable soup.

Clean/sanitize 3 flats worth of starter pots as it is time to plant the jalapeno & bell pepper seed, which I plan on doing tomorrow.

Fed the cattle.

Refilled the redbird feeders.

Filled the starter pots & planted 30 'Megatron' jalapenos & 30 'King Arthur' bell peppers for the spring garden. Watered them & everything else in the greenhouse & turned up the heater.

Put out another roll of hay.

Made a birthday cake for our lil' buddy down the road. Hard to believe he's 11 now.

Fed the cattle.

Our neighbor & a few friends came to load up on firewood. They loaded up 5 trailers worth & will be back with the splitter to replenish our racks in a couple of weeks.

Cold & rainy for the next 4 days (3.07" thus far). Night temp forecasts are all below freezing... On the plus side, we're catching some much needed runoff for the tanks!!!

Started a loaf of sourdough.

Fed the cattle, put out another roll of hay & installed a 2nd cane latch on another of the corral gates (I picked up the needed hardware). It's still mucky as heck out there...

Put out another suet block & also a big seed/peanut block for the birds.

Ground up 10+ pounds of sirloin & formed 31 hamburger patties. We'll vacuum-pack them tomorrow.
