Vacuum packed the chicken breasts I bought yesterday.

Prepped 4 planters for painting. I'm going to try growing cilantro in the greenhouse this winter.

Started pulling up the stakes in the garden, time to start cleaning it up for the fall.

Been so dang hot I've not had much motivation but I have to get out this afternoon and start prepping my raised beds for fall. Definitely need some soil amendments.. the spring garden was less then I'd hoped. Need to check on bees too.. Summer dearth is hard on the bees.

Went to the eye doctor to have my eyes checked (20/20), but I still need reading glasses. She said to just buy over-the-counter ones for now & we can reacess my needs in 6 months.

Spray painted 3 of the 4 planters. I'm work stop until the rest of the paint is delivered.

Ordered a Scratch Resistant Polycarbonate Flip Windshield for the new Defender. Also ordered the Scratch Resistant Polycarbonate Rear Window.

Well, it's about that time, LOL!!!

Started the 'beginning-of-month' chores. I installed 3 Kaboom toilet bowl cleaning systems.

Put up 2 more hummingbird feeders.

Fed the cattle.

Refilled the salt for the water softener in the well house.

Finished pulling up all the garden stakes & stowed them away. Then pulled all the plants & then added them to the burn pile.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Start the sourdough for making crumpets tomorrow. They have been on my bucket list for a while now...

Been busy with the cottage food thing.. fermented hot sauce, jalapeño kraut, pickled okra, pickled green beans, assorted jellies and a whole bunch of pickles.
Rained all day today .. I got a whole lot of nothing done outside. Ordered a new metal shelving unit today to store some of this stuff until I can sell a bunch of it. Signed up for a booth at a local town festival in October. Still fun so far. If it turns into work I’ll stop.

Drizzling off & on today (0.09" thus far).

Made the sourdough crumpets & will say that I'm glad I tried them, but both of us thought that they were uninspiring. I'll try making regular crumpets next & hopefully they will taste like something.

Both the front & read windshields for the Defender arrived today. Also received the Christmas gift that I ordered for my lil' buddy.

Installed the front & rear windshields on the Defender. It took almost 8 solid hours to get done & I wished I had a helper, neither of them was a 1 person job... I just glad it's done.

Got a passing shower midday (0.05").

Fed the cattle.

Fed the cattle.

Put out another seed block for the birds.

Cut the grass.

Fed the cattle.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders & put 2 more up as their numbers are increasing. We spent the afternoon on the back porch watching their 'dog fights', LOL!!!

The wind was low this morning, so I sprayed the final coat of paint on the 4 planters.

Seasoned up a beef sirloin that I'll roast for our suppers, along with some potatoes, onions & celery.

Made a molasses cake for our desserts.

Fed cattle.

Made a loaf of sourdough bread.

Put the nut covers on all exposed nuts on the Defender's recent additions.

Removed the goatweed from the areas around the flaf pole, culverts & ranch sign.

Pick up a load of cattle feed & then did the weekly shopping.

Made a big pot of vegetable/beef/barley soup out of the carcass of the sirloin roast.
