Seasoned up a pork shoulder that will be done Mexican-style for supper.

Finished the pot of pinto beans.

Cleaned around the house.

The septic system has a problem. Waiting for my buddy Daniel to get back with the new pump. It's one thing after another so far this year...

Harvested a few more tomatoes & bell peppers, along with our 1st cucumber.

Roasted the tomatoes that I have so far. After skinning them, they'll go in the freezer till I get enough for Picante sauce.

Made the stuffed bell peppers.

Watered the porch pots & baskets.

Watered the garden, asparagus, porch pots/baskets & the Crape Myrtles. While watering the spider plants, I experienced a new first here that scared the crap out of me... I have never seen a tarantula here before, let alone a big one (3 1/2" body)!!!

Went to get a haircut in LaGrange. Half way there, it started pouring some serious rain (there was no rain forecasted). When I got home, I saw we had only got 0.22" here.

Started off today with a bang!!! Dispatched a rabbit, a rat, an armadillo & 2 coons in the yard/garden.

Drenched the fire ant mounds in the yard.

Harvested tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos & bell peppers.

Rehung the flags. It's was a windy spring & they've been down for months.

Watered the garden, asparagus, trees & Crape Myrtles. Also did the porch pots.

Spent the day researching new UTVs. Looking at both the Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD Edition & Kabota Sidekick this time.

I take it that you have a 4-seater, I only need a 2-seater. What is important to me is reliability, carrying capacity & towing weight (99% of our use is spraying, dragging firewood & just feeding cattle).

Our current John Deere Gator's are frequent money pits & we're looking to save some money by going from 2 to just 1 UTV, so reliability & lower maintenance costs are important... I don't want to die & leave these POS' to someone else to have to deal with, LOL!!!

Yes it is a four seater that can be converted to a 2 seater that doubles the storage if converted. I have had six people on it at times. Most days it is just me.Other than feeding cattle, I have used mine per your needs. I have not priced them since I bought mine, but you might want to take a look at it. I change the oil once a year irregardless how many hours I have on it. No problems ( knock on wood)!

Back from Italy.. Yard is a forest.. Gotta mow, check on bees, order honey extraction supplies, get groceries.. etc.. Had a great time in Italy.. every house with a yard there has a garden.. some big and some small but they all have them. Tons of citrus, olives, peaches, nectarines, grapes.. Beautiful tomatoes everywhere, lots of san marzano but there was a really neat looking heirloom that they were selling everywhere that I need to find out about. Bought a huge hunk of vac sealed Parmigiana Reggiano for 10 euros at a farmers market... would have cost 4 or 5 times that here.

Spent yesterday working on the Gator replacement. It has been rather revealing, to me anyway, just how lazy & unprofessional some Americans workers have become. I had previously requested quotes on 2 different models from 2 different Kabota dealers... to date, I have receive only 1 quote & it was for a the wrong model.

The same lack of professionalism is being displayed by the 2 Kawasaki dealers as I have not received ANY quotes. I don't beg anyone or any company to take my money. I am currently working on 'Plan B'...

Ranch I plan on canning tomatoes tomorrow using your crushed tomato recipe that I have used for years. I’m thinking about adding both yellow and zucchini squash, onion, and bell peppers. Have you ever done this? If so, anything I need to know? Thanks..

Sorry to hear about your experiences. The guy that was at Halletsville is now in LaGrange. He has had two replacements since he left. The guy there now has called twice the last six months to see if I need anything. Maybe it’s because I have spent a ton of money there the last 9 years. I’m going to have a major renovation to a bathroom for a wheelchair accessible shower. I’m having problems with contractors calling me back. Like you, wouldn’t you think they would want my money?
