Refilled the wasp traps & put them back up.

Refilled the redbird feeders & put out new seed blocks. Also cleaned & refilled their water trough.

Rehung the flags.

Continued puttering on the ol' Gator.

Drizzling here this morning, we're waiting for the big rain to arrive... We got cheated again (only received 0.23"), the line of red broke up before it got to us.

Went to the eye doctor's for my 7 day post-op checkup. The next eye is going to be done in a couple of weeks.

Made another batch ranch rice to go with our enchiladas tonight.

Dieter got me up again because of the thunder & lightning... It poured shortly after that (2.61").

Did the weekly shopping & then hit the package store.

Made another buttermilk pie per request.

Got a pot of pinto beans seasoned up & soaking for tomorrow.

Continued detailing the Gator.

Seasoned up some chicken with our Mexican rub that I'll put on the smoker for supper tonight.

Started a loaf of sourdough bead for tomorrow.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Finally got around to mounting the recovery hook on the new Defender. I'm still waiting on a part on back-order to finish it (until the windshields this fall).

Prepped the bed of the ol' Gator for a fresh coat of bed liner. It's almost done.

Took Dieter to the Vet's for his monthly shot.

Refilled the chlorine reservoir for the septic system.

Cleaned the patio umbrella & put it back up.

We got a good downpour this afternoon (0.52" thus far).

Fertilized the Crape Myrtles, porch pots & the hanging baskets, cleaning them up as I went. Dispatch a 15" copperhead that was where he was not suppose to be...

During the remainder of the weekend, I finished the French doors upstairs, replaced the laminate flooring in front of the doors to make an entry way.. at least that’s what my wife calls it… finished texturing, painting and hanging trim downstairs for the ceiling repair, watched the gutter guys replace my gutter that blew away.. and I put my upstairs porch all back in the right place… added a pile of screws and almost all the storm clips. Ran out of battery right at the end… me and the drill..
Wife had thyroid surgery yesterday so I stayed home today to take care of her and finished caulking, touch up paint, made a big pot of chicken and sausage sauce piquant and cooked down the last 15lbs of tomatoes that I had in the freezer into 24 half pints and 3 pints of tomato sauce. Also put together a pellet fired pizza oven that I’ll try this weekend. Going back to work tomorrow.

A light rain has been falling since I woke up (0.78" thus far).

Finished masking the bed & floorboard area of the Gator. Then applied 1st coat of the bed-liner.

Covered 2 new additions to our library with Mylar. You can never have too many books...

I have poured out over 12" in the last week. It was raining when I got home at 4:30 this morning and rained until noon.........I haven't checked the gauge today. Everything around is running water and the land is like walking on a sponge......

Another day of light rain here (0.39" thus far).

Applied the final coat of the bed-liner to the Gator.

Watch a movie with Dieter. After watching it, we both thought 'Oppenheimer' was way over hyped & that it actually sucked...

Have a grapple attachment and 3rd function hydraulic kit on the way. I have such a mess from the hurricane. Now, I need for this rain to stop for a while so we can get some drying around here........As I hear thunder in the background.........SMDH........

Picked up a load of feed.

Did the weekly shopping.

The main house A/C is having issues so we have a call in service. When he arrived, he had got us going again & will be back tomorrow with the part & our service contract (at a good price!!!).

Installed the new seats in the Gator. People will be hard pressed to find a 2000 6X4 Gator in this shape, LOL!!!

I was browsing the web this morning & one of the sites ask me to verify that I was a human...

I had to laugh when 'captcha' presented the verification picture:

Obviously no one screens the pictures that they choose to use...

Cut the grass on the home site, along the roads & around the barn. It was bad... 5 hrs bad,

Called the county commissioner & jump his sorry arse as only a pissed off Colonel can do. The weasel did nothing but whine like a lil' girl & make excuses, so I told him that that wasn't gonna cut it. Excuses are like assholes. He had better address the issues or I will escalate & address the full commissioners court at their monthly meeting. I have 640 waking hours a month to make his life miserable & told him to contact the other commissioners if he doesn't know my history. And yes, I was very blunt... the ball is now in his court. I'm still shocked at his wimp BS. "RESULTS, NOT EXCUSES!!!

About 18 months now... No experience, but from what I heard, he talked a good game. As we all know, talk is cheap.

BTW, he's your commissioner too.
