Filled in a pothole on the front driveway. We will see if the method I used holds up.

Repotted 8 of the 10 ferns, then I ran out of dirt... I'll get more of the components tomorrow & get them finished.
What's your soil mix for ferns?
Same as just about everything I plant (per my grandpa), 2 parts peat moss, 2 parts top soil & 1 part sand.

First fall festival for my cottage food / honey thing this weekend. Catching back up on depleted inventory this week after work.. I've pickled enough okra for an army.. Made a Cajun style one that I like a bunch. Going to use that recipe on some pickles in the spring.
Went to get my monthly haircut, bought a pair of Red Wing work boots, picked up the components to make my 'dirt' & topped off my fuel tank.

Glad this weather is cooling down at night....Our AC went out yesterday and will need to replace about 1/2 of it.......
We know that feeling... we just sent the paperwork & check for replacing the outside coil for the main house's A/C...
Mixed the 'dirt' & finished the repotting of the ferns & the last of the spider plants. Used the remaining dirt to fill low spots in the yard. Then watered everything

Took the hummingbird feeders down & cleaned them for storage. Also cleaned the wasp traps for storage.

Working on Luke’s car today. Almost ready to remove the hood. New (rebuilt) carb arrived this week.
Pick up a load of cattle feed & hit the package store.
Cleaned the the trim on the porch posts in preparation for rechauking/painting prior to the rainy season.
HVAC company came out to replace the 5T condenser coil for the main house.
Did the weekly shopping & topped off the gas tank of Mrs. Ranch's Jeep.
Seasoned up a shoulder for Mexican pulled pork for our suppers.

Started pulling up the caladiums in the porch pots. They lasted longer than I expected this year...
