Harvested 12 good sized jalapenos for Mrs. Ranch to stuff.

Continued covering the library books, got another 35 done. I glad the roll of Mylar was delivered earlier today, so I got more done than I expected!!!

Our adopted grandkids came down to help the old fart harvest the potatoes. It was an excellent crop this year, probably about 350 lbs. All 10 curing trays are full, so the overflow is just spread out on the tables in the party barn. A number of them are lunkers, so I will need to get the scale to see if I have any the beat my previous record of 1.86 lbs.

Made another buttermilk pie for dessert.

Mrs. Ranch made stuffed jalapenos from the peppers I harvested yesterday.

Continued covering the library books, got another 24 done.

Our blender died & our 'backup' is going out too... I ordered an exact replacement, today's it is $486 & in 2016 I paid $304... that's a 59% inflation rate or 8.4% per year.

Mrs. Ranch did the weekly shopping, now she understands why I come home pissed off every week...

Continued covering the library books, got another 40 done.

Took the scale down & weighed some of the potatoes. We have a number in the 1 pound 6-8 ounce range but I'm especially pleased to say that 'yes, we do have a new personal record : 1 pound 9.8 ounces'!!! For reference, the scale is 8" wide.

Yeah, I'm doing somewhat better, although the area is still sore. I have an follow-up appointment with the surgeon tomorrow & hope she has encouraging news.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Went to my doctor's appointment & she trimmed some stitches that were irritating the heck out of me. She said I need to take it easy until June 12th though & to watch what I lift after that.

Had a brief downpour at suppertime (0.18").

Made 2 peanut/seed blocks for the peckers & jays that come to the bird feeders.

I'll probably fire up the big smoker tomorrow if our girl's softball team wins the state title tonight. I'm going to use the 6 biggest potatoes from our harvest to make bacon-wrapped 'potato volcanoes' (stuffed with smoked brisket & cheese). A couple for us & the rest for our neighbors to celebrate their win. I never had an adopted granddaughter that played varsity as a freshman, let alone won a state championship, LOL!!!

Harvested 15 more jalapenos for Mrs. Ranch.

Day 2 of burning the accumulated trash/cardboard.

I started replacing the hinge pins on the Weber Genesis grill & they both broke off inside the respective holes... I have no idea how long it's going to take to knock the 4 of them out. All I can do is keep putting penetrating oil on them. I got 1 out, 3 to go...

Our mail lady delivered my roll of Mylar, so I fixed her up with a bag of red potatoes & 4 cucumbers to say 'Thanks'.
