Made bread.

Continued working on the tractor's canopy... I trimmed perimeter of the excess fiberglass material & applied a finish coat of resin to the entire underside. When it's dry, I'll sand it lightly to prep it for painting (flat black to cut down on reflections).

Painted the underside of the tractor's canopy flat black to cut down on reflections. When it's dry, I'll put the edge molding back on & call it done.

Sprayed the yard to kill the crabgrass/dallisgrass.

Watered the garden. Then replaced a few plants that didn't look like they were doing too good.

Tied up all the tomato plants again as they're growing pretty good. Lots of lil' fruits are forming!!!

Topped off the chlorine reservoir for the septic system.

Refilled the redbird feeders & put out a fresh seed block for the woodpeckers.

Started a loaf of sourdough bread for tomorrow.

We had some unexpected rain showers come through this afternoon (0.07" thus far).

Took the truck in for the yearly state inspection, oil/lube & cooling system flush.

Made a buttermilk pie for dessert.

Dieter woke us up ~ 0200 hrs last night to tell us that a big thunderstorm was keeping him awake (he doesn't like thunder & lightning). If Dieter can't sleep, he doesn't want anyone else to either, LOL!!! The plus side is we got another 1.30" of the wet stuff.

Made bread.

Made a pot of pinto beans.

Did the weekly shopping & topped off the fuel tank in my Jeep.

How are everyone's onions and potatoes looking? My potatoes look as they still have a couple weeks to go. Onions have had so much rain , many have had the dirt washed away from them. I usually pull them midMay also.

We lost 192 out of the 200 we planted. We have NEVER incurred a loss like that before, but we have never hit a low of 14 degrees here either... The garden soil was frozen 6" deep.

Cleaned the oscillating floor fans that I use in the greenhouse & garage.

Cleaned & refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Turned a whole pork loin into 17 chops (about 8 oz each) & vacuum-packed them.

Cold (55 degrees) & wet here (0.52" thus far).

Seasoned up a pork roast with Mexican rub that we'll have for supper. Also made ranch rice to go with it , along with the pinto beans that I made on Friday.
