Made bread.

Made stuffed jalapenos.

Seasoned up chicken breasts that I'll grill for supper. Mrs. Ranch is making her delicious 'Twice Baked Potatoes'.

Vacuumed the greenhouse out & put the insolated vented window covers up. Then put the heater/fan in place & ops checked them in preparation for the freezing weather that is forecasted for this coming Monday.

Cut back the ferns in the hanging baskets & the spider plants as the will need to be repotted in the spring. These will be moved into the greenhouse in the next day or two.

Also cut back all the porch pots.

Raining all day here...

I put up the little Christmas tree (we're not hosting a party this year) & Mrs. Ranch decorated the fireplace mantle. We're done.

Started the 'beginning-of-the-month' chores.

It's been raining almost 2 days here in Cypress, Texas.

Kids have friends over. The pie factory has just closed it's door. Total count was 26 ! LOL ! went out for supplies twice !

Both of these recipe's are courtesy of Mr.Ranch. Dewberry pies and Buttermilk pies. Since dewberries are out of seasons, we had to improvised.

We ended up with a total of 2.69" of rain. We'll take it.

Repotted the spider plants, as I was motivated. Then moved the plants into the greenhouse.

Put the insulated covers on the hose bibs.

Restoring 1 of 4 AR-15’s that I recently received from Houston PD. These were stolen from me over 10 years ago. They were all involved in a fire and will need lots of work. It looks to me that they weren’t in the fire, but close enough to melt plastics. Metal parts are all in recoverable condition.

Yep Whaler, the temp is dropping. This morning it was 37 degrees & the forecast for tonight is 28 degrees... BRRRR!!!

Refilled the bird feeders.

Drained the irrigation system.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

R&R'd the batteries in Dieter's e-collar.

Turned the well house heat lamp on.

Turned the heater on in the green house.

It was 27 degree this morning...

Called around about hot water tanks, as both of them are leaking. It's going to be an expensive month...

Did the yearly maintenance of the weather station.

Watched the guys swap out both hot water tanks with commercial units (12 yr warranty). They did a good job.

Did the weekly shopping & topped off my fuel tank.

Beautiful day out. Bought a few Christmas wreath for the gate. Saw the coolest little strips of tiny little LED lights at Home Depot. Kids will have to wrap these lights around the wreath, I just don't have the patience for this stuff. LOL

Did the weekly shopping.

Made fried bread with Swiss chard from the garden (Sicilian comfort food) for breakfast.

Made a carrot cake for our neighbors.

Cleaned/filled 20 starter pots & planted additional 'Texas Stars'.

Finished up the restoration of the AR 15 that was in a fire. I installed basic, lower budget components as this is just a backup. That being said, I’ve found that these lower budget rifles are as reliable as something 5X the cost.
