I thought he was mine. I know the old one, doesn’t live that far from me. I thought we had a new one as there is 20 yard stretch of road on CR 215 that has been tore up for several months. They put gravel over it and cones on each end. The former commissioner would not have let this happen.

Finally just yesterday got to mow the grass and I still stuck the lawn mower in several places.. the right transaxle on my kubota zero turn is going out.. The left one went out a few month ago.. mower only has 120 hours on it.. you'd think they'd be under warranty but nope.. 1600 bucks to get one changed.. I think I'll change this one myself and then sell it and get a bigger mower. the hustler I had before this gave me NO problems for years..

Went to LaGrange to get my haircut & then did some shopping.

Our septic system guy came out for the quarterly inspection & found the water pump had gone out, so he replaced it under warranty.

Started the begining-of-the-month chores.

Contractors are waiting for flooring to come in to finish the project( wheel chair accessible shower ). Mowed around the house and garden areas. Grass is so high I will probably use the shedder.

Just got back from a week in MX with the family. Came back to tall grass, mosquitoes and I still have lots of trees to deal with from the storm. What a kick in the nuts hahaha.

I know that it's the Yucatan, but where exactly did you go this time??? We spent so much time there, that at one time we qualified for residency, LOL!!! We actually looked at houses there...

This time we went to Akumal, on the mainland. It's 20 minutes north of Tulum. Landed at the new Tulum airport. Some cool stuff to see, but I won't be going to the mainland again. It's too damn busy, too many people and we got hassled too much. Cozumel only for MX.

Cleaned/prepped 36 starter pots for planting my spider plant babies tomorrow.

Trimmed up the caladiums on the back porch as the heat is taking it's toll.

Went to the eye doctors for my last checkup.

Planted the spider plant babies & put them on the back porch where I can keep an eye on them.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets, as 'hotter-than-hell week' is here.

Received 12 S.S. 3" baker's rings. I want to try my hand at English Muffins.

Got a good rain showerthis evening, 0.18".

Cut the grass. I noticed that the steering was loose... Looks like the front wheel bearings are bad, so I ordered the parts.

Made a cherry pie for our desserts.

Sprayed RoundUp around the home site & garden. I had to stop for today as it is just too hot (the heat index is 114 degrees).

Took the front wheels off the garden tractor & knocked the old bushings out. Cleaned all the old grease out with solvent so they're ready for the installation of the new bearings.

Amen on the heat. I tried mowing but the heat drove me back inside.

Spent the weekend in Smithville / Lagrange. Went and saw a buddy play at the Bugle Boy. Really nice small venue for live music. Stopped at the farmers market in Hempstead on the way home and got enough cukes to make 50 or 60 quarts of pickles. I started selling my Honey and added in a few Cottage foods.. jelly / jam / pickles etc.. Stuffs selling really well so far.. if it turns into another job I'll stop..
Yard is awful again.. gonna try and mow this evening. The right transaxle is going out on my Kubota zero turn. It has a whole 120 hours on it. The left one went out at 110 hours.. you'd think they'd be under warranty.. nope.. May just fix it and sell the thing..

Continued spraying RoundUp around the home site/fenceline & garden. I quit again due to the heat (index =117 degrees).

Received the new bearings, but they don't fit the axles/spindles. So much for upgrading... I ordered the OEM bushings, as I want this done.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets, as 'hotter-than-hell week' is in it's full glory (heat index hit 118 degrees today)...

Our new HVAC company came out to check both A/C units.

Made a 'back-to-school' cake for the grandkids. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting should put a smile on their faces, LOL!!! Hard to believe the girl is now a junior & her brother is about to enter high school...
