Yet another 105 degree day with a heat index of 109...

Watered the trees/grass, porch pots & hanging baskets.

Put out the last peanut/sunflower seed block for the birds, then made 2 more.

Put the seed blocks I made yesterday in the dehydrator.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Continued watering everything... it's suppose to be 106 degrees, with a heat index of 110.

Getting a break from the heat today, it's suppose to be 97 (due to the tropical storm in the GOM).

Fed the cattle.

Primed the new well house. I hope to apply the caulk tomorrow.

The heat & humidity is back, 102 degrees, with a heat index of 107.

Watched India's successful lunar landing. They nailed it & have every reason to be proud.

Caulked the new well house so it's ready for paint.

Went to town to pickup the paint for the well house.

Started a pot of pinto beans.

I have looked at them, but I'm too cheap. But if you're offering, LOL!!!

I have less than $5 invested in this little project (16 screws & 10' of 1X2). I'll be able to make 6 at a time, plus it gives me something to do.

You’ll use it for more than this. I’ve lost count of all the parts I’ve built.

This week it was a water bottle cap for Luke’s bottle that he takes to school. He dropped it and broke the original.

It's suppose to be 108 degrees today. Looks like I'm not going to do much of anything today...

Watered the porch pots/hanging baskets.

Refilled the redbird feeders. Cleaned/refilled their water tub & put half of a mosquito dunk in it.

Continued watering. A cool front blew in last night (lots of wind, but no rain), so the temperature today is supposed to be a cool 100 degrees, with a heat index of 106.

Picked up a load of feed.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Cut the wood, then drilled & countersunk the screw holes for the seed block forms.

Continued watering.

Assembled the seed block forms & sanded it level & then started spraying it with canola oil so nothing sticks.

Predrilled the holes for the 'hose hanger' on the side of the new well house, the sprayed expanding foam into the voids under the corrugated metal roof to help insulate it for winter.

Shot 2 coons. They seem intent on starting the 'Great Coon War of 2023' by stealing the big seed block that I had just put up. GRRRRR!!! I set & baited the traps with marshmallows.

Preparing myself for a virtual court hearing on next Wednesday. 13 years ago, I had a rather expensive shotgun stolen from me. A few weeks ago, the sheriff's dept contacted me saying they were in possession of it. The "owner" tried to pawn it in Baytown, and it was picked up there as stolen. Now, the current "owner" has a lawyer, and we will have to fight it out in front of judge to see who gets the shotgun. Can you believe that crap?

While I not an attorney, I did have sex with one once (just kidding, I don't do snakes), LOL!!!

The current "owner" could/should be charged with 'Receiving Stolen Property'. According to section 31 of the Texas Criminal Code, receiving stolen property is considered theft. Texas law considers you responsible for the stolen property even if you did not steal it from its original owner, but rather bought it from someone else.
